Assistant Project Manager

Position Overview

AGAE Contractors, Inc, is currently seeking astute team members for a Project Coordinator/Assistant Project Manager role for the AGAE Building Division in Elk Grove Village, IL. The Project Coordinator/Assistant Project Manager (PCAPM) is responsible for managing day-to-day activities of contract administration, pay requests, change orders, requests for information, tracking submittals, and closeouts, while maintaining and delivering a high level of quality. The ideal candidate will be looking to create strong relationships with subcontractors. Individuals must be self-motivated and possess strong communication/interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • The review and processing of subcontracts, change orders, development, and follow-up of client required paperwork;
  • The development of AIA G702/G703 forms;
  • Development and follow up of Work Releases and Subcontractor paperwork;
  • Research and acquisition of permits;
  • Development of and processing of required disclosure forms;
  • Monthly assistance to Project Management staff in the preparation of monthly billings to clients;
  • Monthly and Quarterly M/WBE reporting, and audits as required per contracts;
  • Assisting the CFO in the review of subcontractor applications for payment;
  • A strong commitment to communicating with all Project Management staff members to ensure coordination to all stakeholders;
  • A strong customer and subcontractor focus;
  • Superior service and client relations; and
  • A commitment to assisting the company to grow and prosper.

Qualifications

  • A 2 or 4-year college degree is preferred
  • The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of construction industry experience, but we are willing to train smart people that are willing to learn.
  • Solid computers skills with MS Office Suite, while experience with construction software programs is a plus.
  • Someone that is well organized, flexible, detail-oriented, and can multi-task.
  • Someone that can prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communicator.
  • Willing to work collaboratively with the rest of our AGAE team.
